Undulating tile

Our decorative tiles are handmade and sgraffito-carved. Sgraffito is the ancient Italian art of applying layers of contrasting slip to a clay body and then scratching away on the surface to produce a drawing. The tiles are finished with 28 lush glazes. Here’s a side view of the undulation in the tile:

Working on new piece

This is a closeup of tiles that are part of a larger piece (below).  The piece will hang in a stairwell and will be glazed in persimmon. Commercial installation of ceramic wall tile mural

This tile piece was recently installed in the lobby of the parking garage for 1706 Rittenhouse Square Street, luxury condos in Philadelphia, PA.  The piece is 78″ wide x 138″ high, glazed in turquoise.  The piece is mounted on a limestone wall, which really sets off the turquoise color. Kohler Corporation Commissions Piece

This is the tile grouping that the Kohler Corp. will display at its annual shareholders’ meeting.  The grouping is titled “Nautilus” and is sold exclusively through the Ann Sacks Tile Company.
